New city administration in Fulshear

Tommy Kuykendall takes the oath of mayor for the City of Fulshear from Judge Kelly Crow.

On Tuesday, May 18 in a standing-room-only council room, Tommy Kuykendall was sworn in as the new mayor of Fulshear by the Honorable Kelly Crow, Fulshear’s municipal court judge. Outgoing Aldermen Dennis Clack, who did not run for re-election, and Derek Einkauf made way for newcomers Larry Beustring and Jeff Roberts. Alderwoman Laverne Patterson was sworn in again and resumed her position on the Fulshear City Council (the Council) for another two-year term.
Riverbend Baptist Church Pastor John Crow led the invocation. Before he began, he noted the unusually large number of people in the gallery. Crow said, “I am glad to see all these people here. This may be more than a prayer. I may have to break into spontaneous preaching.”
